No favors for Lohan. Yeah, sure

Lindsay Lohan didn't get any favors in L.A., after she was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating her probation. She was booked into Century Regional Detention facility in Lynwood, Calif. to start serving her sentence on Monday.

Less than five hours later she was released, said L.A. County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore. But she didn't get any favors.

Yeah, right, Steve.

The estimate of time that she would serve, given last week, was six days. Apparently, the sheriff has the authority to subvert an order by a judge and can release prisoners early due to over-crowding in the jail. The jail must have really over-crowded, since Lohan walked at 1:35AM.

Kind of instills confidence in the penal system, doesn't it? There are people in jail for parking tickets longer than Lohan cooled her heels this week.A news article said this week's jailing was Lohan's fifth since her two DUIs in 2007.

The judge ought to be foaming at the mouth and figuring out a way to lock up the L.A. County Sheriff!

I'm sick of hearing about the Lohan's, the Kardashian's, MJ and Dr Conrad, and all the like. They add nothing to society whatsoever.

What we need more of is the Nygren's, the Seipler's, the Philpotts, AND The Madd Bulldog!!!
DOH!!!

Yo Buster! Why no commentary on Penn State debocle? I read the Grand Jury Report (well, gramps read it to me) and the crimes against the kids are unforgivable and went on for years. The report stated Joe Pa was informed by a Grad Asst who witnessed the abuse and went to Joe's house to tell him in-person. The next day, the Afletic Dir and the VP came to Joe Pa's and he told them what happened. They told Joe they'd handle it and take care of it... yea right. The AD and VP are gonna get indicted for Pennsylvania misdeameanors for not reporting a sexual crime to authorities. Joe Pa, though escalating to the AD and VP, from a moral standpoint should have followed up to see what was going on since nothing was happening to the scumbag. Though the crimes happened on Penn St property, it had nothing to do with the football program... as the abuser retired from the Penn State payroll back in aroun 1999. It was all committed under the guy's charity program.
I got two words for ya: linch mob! Doh.
